Hurricanes in Puerto Rico

Climate change has been in the spotlight for a long time now. Cyclones and hurricanes are getting bigger and stronger because of this change.

Areas by the Gulf and Mexico are some of the places that are being struck the most, with the recent Hurricane Florence and the Hurricane in Puerto Rico last year, causing a lot of deaths. It is even more frightening how the U.S government are able to manipulate the death numbers.

During the hurricane in Puerto Rico last year, an independent study showed that 2.975 people had died. Donald Trump tweeted that around 18 people died, and he said that the U.S Emergency Services did a fantastic job handling the situation, even though nearly 3.000 people died. He also said this was a much better-handled situation than the hurricane Katrina in 2005, even though the casualties in 2005 were less, at 1.200.

The United States of America is unable to deal with hurricanes like these because they spend more money on their military than the Emergency Services, that they need in hurricanes like these.
